Christine Knize founded Faux by Christine, Inc. in Miami, over twenty years ago. The artist received her Bachelor's from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, two years of which she spent in Italy. She received her Master’s from the Rhode Island School of Design, in Fine Arts.
Christine has many well-known, established clients, in the U.S. as well as the Bahamas.
She produces all her own finishes, hiring subcontractors only to execute her base coats and prep work.
Her repertoire of finishes include glazing, many variations of Faux, marbleizing, wood graining, gold leafing, Venetian plaster, furniture finishes, murals, stenciling, restoration and more. A sample is always produced and approved before the job begins.
